Lacy
Lacy Bender grew up in, what was back then, a small town called Ellensburg, WA. She lived on a small family farm with all sorts of animals and her mom was, and still is, an avid gardener. She watched and learned what it takes to make something start from a seed and turn into flowers, herbs, vegetables and fruits. She spent a lot of her youth helping with the weeding and gardening, and it wasn’t until she got older that she appreciated what her mom taught her.
She went to college at Central Washington University for photography and sculpture, followed by Brooks Institute of Photography. While she was in CWU, she started working at Better Life Natural Foods. There she learned so much about the medicinal and therapeutic properties of herbs and essential oils. Eventually, she moved into kitchens and fell in love. She loves mixing and creating new flavor profiles and wowing people with her culinary delights. She finally set up some roots in Roslyn, Washington where she began her search for a new adventure. She still experimented with herbalism on her own by reading books, and finding ways to naturally clean and pamper her skin. Many commercial beauty products, even some all natural ones, cause reactions to her skin. She was constantly battling a skin regimen that agreed with her. After months of reading, taking notes, asking questions and experimenting, she found her new calling. Natural beauty products!
